Abstract With the development of mine exploit, the depth of mining increasing and the size of chamber (water pump house etc.) increasing, the arrangement and support of large cross section chamber became the bottle-neck in high stress area of deep mining. Based on the problem, large section chamber was set under deep goaf, which avoided the high vertical stress of surrounding rock, spray anchor cable and anchor rope combined support concrete spraying scheme was adopted. The research practice showed the deformation of surrounding rock was under control with good effect, provided arrangement and support for mine deep mining of large section chamber.
