Shanxi Jinhui Coking Chemical Corporation was in charge of  5 mine, among which 4 mines were located in Lyuliang area, one in Changzhi area, 4 mines was in weathered zone during the mining process, which caused influence and construct on mining safety in production. Based on this problem, the causes of the weathered zone were analyzed, and the principle, technical measures and management requirements of the weathered zone were puts forward.
