In order to select the better culture collection method of penicillium chrysogenum, ensure the strain production capability, the effects of four common methods including sand tube preservation method, freeze-drying method, liquid nitrogen temperature preservation method and glycerol preservation method at low temperature on penicillium chrysogenum were compared. The results showed that the glycerin low temperature preservation method was better at short-term preservation of penicillium chrysogenum, and the sand tube preservation method was better at long-term preservation.
