Abstract The principle of EH4 electromagnetic imaging system, characteristics and working methods were introduced. Using ordovician karst water low resistance characteristics and surrounding rock resistivity larger differences, with EH4 search of underground karst water, and delimiting the embedded depth of the water level, the practice proved that the application of EH4 in looking for the grey karst water had a good effect.
