Abstract In typical loess tableland coverage of west China, with the aid of 3 d seismic exploration technology, initial mining area of Jiulongchuan Mine was explored, structure distribution, coal seam occurrence, as well as other geological conditions in initial mining area were found out, which provided important basis for mining area design, the optimization of working face layout, guaranteeing production safety.
