Abstract The fermentation production of strains and fermentation technology determine the final fermentation production levels. Currently the strains are usually matagenized and screened after a long time. It is very difficult to improve the strain capacity using simple breeding,but it is relatively simple and feasible method to excavate the potential of current strains through the optimization of fermentation technology. The conditions were optimized which were vaccination amount, formula of base materials and supplementary food and so on during the process of cephalosporin C fermentation.The results showed that the liter was 5% higher using the subcultived and poured tank than the subcultived tank, the soybean oil was saved 4 m3 through reducing the oil amount in base materials, the filter yield was increased by 2% through diluting the fermentation liquid. Using the process the fermentation level was significantly increased and the fermentation cost was reduced.
