Abstract In order to improve the technical level of coal mine roof water disaster prevention and control, combined with the actual geological conditions of No.ZF213 fully mechanized mining face in Shanxi Dangxin Coal Mine, the transient electromagnetic method was used to detect the water abundant area of the working face roof, and the risk factors of water disaster were clarified. According to the detection results, the key equipment and parameters of the water disaster prevention and control technology scheme were selected and calculated. The measured results showed that the roof water disaster prevention and control technology of the coal mine could effectively discharge the water inflow in the working face of the coal mine, which had certain practical value.
