| Preparation and performance evaluation of catalyst for partial hydrogenation of benzene |

Abstract A catalyst for partial hydrogenation of benzene and its preparation method were developed. Based on the active components of the traditional Ru-Zn catalyst, a trace amount of Pd metal was added to the catalyst, and the preparation technology of the catalyst was optimized. The results show that the preparation technology of the catalyst makes the components of the catalyst more dispersed and uniform. The reaction activity and stability of the catalyst were further improved, and its conversion rate and selectivity reached more than 40%, 84%, 45% and 80% respectively, which effectively reduced the catalyst unit consumption in production. At the same time, the sensitivity (antitoxicity) to sulfur was also obviously improved, which is characterized by high reaction index and stability. The performance indexes such as catalyst activity and sulfur resistance have reached the leading level in China. The application of catalysts with high activity and stability can significantly reduce production energy consumption, improve the core technology competitiveness of enterprises, and produce favorable economic and social benefits.
