Abstract In the field of geological engineering, the super-thick loose fracture zone was always a difficult problem in the work of pipe fixing after drilling. Due to its special geological conditions, the formation is loose and broken, and the conventional pipe-fixing process is difficult to achieve the desired results. This paper proposed a highly innovative pipe-fixing process, that was, the use of phased grouting. This method could effectively reduce the diffusion radius of cement and avoid its excessive diffusion to affect the pipe-fixing quality. Through the application in practical engineering, it was found that this process significantly improved the stability and reliability of the fixed pipe, and provides a valuable reference for the subsequent engineering construction under similar complex geological conditions.
