Abstract The problem of mine water inflow is related to coal mine safety production. The prediction of mine water inflow is based on the analysis of mine hydrogeological conditions and water filling factors to pre-estimate the amount of water which may flow into the mine during mining. Accurate prediction of mine water inflow is the basis for ensuring mine safety, which can provide a more reasonable and economic basis for mine drainage in the future. Taking a mine in Inner Mongolia as an example, this paper analyzed and studied the hydrogeological conditions such as aquifer characteristics and aquifuge characteristics of the mine, determined the direct water filling source of the mine, and established a calculation model on this basis. The analytic method was used to predict the mine water inflow, which provided a basis for the future drainage work of the mine and ensured the safe production of the mine.
