Abstract In order to solve the problems of composite roof plate rectangular roadway, such as easy to roof collapse and difficult to support, the No.43up06 transportation gateway of Jining No. 2 Mine was taken as the engineering background, based on the field drilling results and the deep composite roof plate roadway perimeter rock control principles, the composite roof plate roadway support scheme was proposed, and the reliability of the joint support scheme was verified through numerical simulation. Field test results showed that: after adopting this scheme, the maximum deformation of the top and bottom plates of the roadway was 75mm and 24mm respectively, the maximum deformation of the two gangs was 55mm, the shallow part of the top plate was 5mm, and the deep part of the top plate was 20mm, which effectively controlled the deformation and damage of the roadway peripheral rock.
