Abstract In order to solve the ventilation problem of rapid excavation of large cross-section coal roadway, this paper takes the 1309 intake crossheading excavation face of Gulong Coal Industry as the research object, analyzes and calculates the ventilation volume of the excavation roadway, and selects the local ventilator accordingly. The practice shows that through scientific air volume calculation, reasonable fan selection and strict management, the ventilation safety of 1309 intake crossheading heading face in Gulong Coal Industry has been guaranteed is realized. There is no ventilation accident and gas overrun in the roadway during tunneling, which provides a guarantee for safe and efficient tunneling.
