| Research on reasonable width of coal pillar in shallow buried coal seam section of Longhua Mine |

Abstract In order to reduce the waste of coal resources and ensure the stability of roadway during mining, the reasonable width of coal pillar in No. 30203 Face of Longhua Mine was studied by means of field monitoring, numerical simulation and theoretical analysis. The results showed that the width of the plastic zone of the section coal pillar in No.30203 Face was 1.8 m, and the influence range of the advance support pressure of the transportation gateway was 25 m ; the influence range of the advance abutment pressure on the side of the auxiliary transport trough was 20 m. With the advancement of the working face, the convergence of the roof and floor of the mining roadway was 50 mm, and the displacement of the two sides was 5 mm. The theoretical calculation showed that the reasonable width of the section coal pillar was 14.86m ~ 15.26m ; numerical simulation was used to verify that the optimized 15 m wide section coal pillar could meet the requirements of safe production in the working face, and the section coal pillar could maintain good stability. The research results provided a reference for the safe production of mines under similar conditions.
