| Experimental study on gas emission capacity and law of low, medium and high rank coal |

Abstract In order to demonstrate the influence of coalification degree of low-rank, medium-rank and high-rank coal on gas emission capacity, a total of 28 coal samples from 28 mines were collected, and the WFC-2 gas emission capacity tester was used for measurement and analysis. The results show that there is no single value relationship between the degree of coal metamorphism and the ability of gas emission. The two cannot be established simultaneously, but they have certain regularity. That is, under the same adsorption pressure ( 0.1 MPa ), the amount of gas emission is proportional to the degree of metamorphism, and the amount of gas emission is inversely proportional to the reduction of volatile matter. The analysis of the experimental results of selecting low rank coal shows that the gas emission capacity of fat coal and long flame coal is significantly greater than that of lignite, gas coal and coking coal ; the gas emission ability of gas coal and coking coal is very poor. In the investigation of the four indexes of coal and gas outburst risk identification, it is suggested that the conclusion should not be based on the gas emission ability index△P. The experimental results of selecting high-rank coal show that the gas emission capacity of lean coal and anthracite has a large range of variation and strong emission capacity.
