Abstract The complexity of the geological environment in the process of coal mining makes coal and gas outburst accidents occur frequently. It is of great practical significance to evaluate the risk of coal and gas outburst. Based on the construction of coal and gas outburst risk evaluation index system and classification standard combining quantitative and qualitative indexes, this paper uses the improved fuzzy analytic hierarchy process and grey correlation method to calculate the index weight and comprehensive weight of the system, and overcomes the problem of unreasonable weight determined by a single method. Through the engineering application, the calculation results are analyzed and the targeted outburst prevention measures are put forward, and good results are achieved. It can effectively guarantee the safe production of the mine and is of great significance to the safe and efficient mining of the coal mine.
