Abstract In order to ensure the supply of coal resources during the turning period of Hequ Open-pit Coal Mine, combined with the actual production conditions of the open-pit mine, it is proposed to use the longitudinal mining and uncovering coal method when the working side is temporarily supported, and the transportation system of the open-pit mine during the longitudinal mining and uncovering coal of the working side is optimized. The economic indicators of the scheme without moving pit line in the inner row and the scheme with moving pit line in the inner row are compared and analyzed. The optimal transportation scheme in the longitudinal mining area of the working side is determined as the scheme with moving pit line in the inner dump, which saves about 7 million yuan for the open-pit coal mine.
