| Numerical simulation study on 'two zones' height of No.2 coal seam roof in Yingjun No.3 field |

Abstract In this paper, aiming at the current situation that the research on the water conduction fracture zone of the roof of No.2 coal seam in Yingjun No.3 mine field was relatively weak, the movement and failure law of the overlying strata on the No.11201 face was revealed by FLAC3D numerical simulation, and the development height of the 'caving zone' and 'water conduction fracture zone' in the overlying strata after No.2 coal seam mining was predicted, and the height of the 'two zones' of the overlying strata was calculated and analyzed by empirical formula. The results showed that the FLAC3D numerical simulation results were basically consistent with the empirical formula results, which provided reliable parameters for the formulation of coal mine water control and safe mining technical measures.
