Abstract Xingdong Mine belongs to Jizhong Energy Resources Group Co., Ltd. The mining depth of the mine is greater than 800 m. The hydrogeological conditions are complex, and the mine is mainly threatened by the karst water of the underlying Ordovician limestone in the mining process. Because there are several large-scale water conducting faults in the mine field, the drops of which are all above 50 m. In order to ensure safe production, the waterproof coal pillars are reserved according to the regulations. In order to prolong the service life of mine production and maximize the recovery of resources, how to explore and control water conducting faults to liberate waterproof coal pillars has gradually become the focus of research. Based on the experience of water conducting fault exploration and control in Xingdong Mine in recent years, this paper discussed the characteristics and implementation effects of different technical means, and provided experience for water conducting fault exploration and control under similar conditions.
