Abstract In order to further stabilize the operation of the chilled water system and prolong the operation cycle of the gasifier, the analysis of the problems of the chilled water system in the practice of different manufacturers was combined, the results show that when two chilled water filters are put into operation at the same time, it is more effective for the long period operation of the system; the slag mouth structure is optimized into stepped type, which can effectively reduce the number of partial injection of crude synthesis gas; the slag dam is set at the slag mouth structure, which can play a certain role of protection and buffer in case of coal quality fluctuation; increasing the radius and the number of openings of the chilling ring can reduce the scouring of the chilling ring by the chilled water; changing the angle of slag water separation baffle can effectively reduce the blockage of syngas outlet pipeline; increasing the diameter of downcomer can reduce the scouring of downcomer by crude syngas.
