Abstract Fracture is a common geological structure in the process of coal mine production, and its different degrees of development have different degrees of influence on coal mining. Generally, the rock near the fracture zone is broken and the strength is reduced, which is easy to cause spalling and roof caving accidents. Large fractures may conduct strong aquifer in the lower part of the coal seam. Once exposed, it is likely to cause mine sudden water accidents. Therefore, the exploration of large fractures has guiding significance for mine production. With the maturity and widespread application of surface regional control drilling technology, taking Wutongzhuang Mine as the research object, this technology is applied to the exploration of large fractures and has achieved remarkable results.
