Abstract Based on the actual situation of Dafosi Coal Mine, this paper puts forward a method of using microseismic monitoring technology to predict water inflow in fully mechanized caving face. By explaining the formation reasons of mine water damage inducing mechanism, the study transits to the study of rock fracture development and fracture phenomenon under multiple factors such as mining disturbance and water-rock coupling. Secondly, by introducing the traditional microseismic monitoring technology, the accurate picking and inversion of rock fracture development and fracture process are carried out, further indicating the application feasibility of microseismic technology in water damage prevention and control. Combined with the actual situation, the synergistic evolution law between mine water inflow, microseismic frequency and microseismic energy in the time scale during the mining process of 40119 working face in Dafosi Coal Mine is analyzed, which not only verifies the application technology of microseismic monitoring technology in rock burst mine water damage prevention and control, but also provides ideas for the deep development of new mine water damage warning technology.
