Abstract Zhengli coal industry 14-1105 isolated island working face retrieval roadway with support difficulties, through theoretical analysis and calculation, numerical simulation, field application and other methods, the design of 6.0 m small coal column technology was adopted, according to the force and surrounding rock damage characteristics, a new roadway surrounding rock multi-ring layer efficient support technology was used, with detailed support parameters, field application showed that during the mining period, there was basically no obvious displacement of the surrounding rock, and the maximum displacement of the top and bottom was 0.28 ~ 0.33 m and the maximum displacement of the two sides was 0.17 ~ 0.21 m during the workface recovery period, and the surface deformation was within a reasonable and controllable range.
