Abstract The "L" horizontal well technology is an important drilling technology to improve the production and take rate in the process of coalbed methane development[ 1 ]. Among them, whether the skew section can be safely and accurately landed determines whether the horizontal section can be properly drilled in the reservoir, which is related to the drilling encounter rate in the reservoir and is a key link in the success or failure of horizontal drilling. According to the drilling situation in the Liulin area, the actual landing situation of the slanting section was analyzed, and the landing technology of the slanting section applicable to this block was summarized to provide reference for the construction of future horizontal mines.
