| Research progress on micromorphology of precipitated barium sulfate particles |

Abstract Based on the current research status of precipitated barium sulfate in China, the research progress related to the micromorphology of precipitated barium sulfate particles was reviewed. According to the approximate one-dimensional, two-dimensional, three-dimensional division method, this paper introduces the research results of the micro-morphology of spindle-shaped, fibrous, flake, spherical and so on: precipitation reaction of Ba2+ and SO42- is carried out to prepare the precipitated barium sulfate products with different micro-morphology under different reaction conditions. The results show that there are still some shortcomings in the study of barium sulfate in China, such as the lack of variety of particle micromorphology, the lack of systematic theoretical guidance in the research process, and the insufficient industrialization of research results. More efforts should be made in the systematic study and industrial application of the crystallization theory of precipitated barium sulfate.
