| Study on extraction and mid-infrared spectrum of polysaccharide from cedar needles |

Abstract The structure of cedar needles polysaccharide was studied by mid-infrared (MIR) spectrum (including one-dimensional MIR spectrum, second derivative MIR spectrum, fourth derivative MIR spectrum and deconvolution MIR spectrum). It was found that the main infrared absorption functional groups of pine needles included νOH-cedar needles polysaccharide, νC=O-cedar needles polysaccharide, νamide-Ⅰ-cedar needles polysaccharide, νC=C-cedar needles polysaccharide, νamide-Ⅱ-cedar needles polysaccharide, δ■ and νC-O-cedar needles polysaccharide, etc, and the structure of cedar needles polysaccharide could be distinguished by MIR spectroscopy. This project established a new methodology for the study of the structure of cedar needles polysaccharide, which has important application research value.
