Based on the comprehensive investigation of the closed mines in Hebei Province, there were considerable remaining resources after the close, which not only caused waste of resources, but also led to secondary disasters. The scientific connotation of "ecological well closure" was taken as the point of reference, the current situation was analyzed in detail, with the background of level and development trend of domestic and foreign research, and the goal of turning waste into treasure, the surface resource development and utilization technology was proposed, with coal bed methane (gas) resource development and utilization technology, coal underground gasification technology, underground space development and utilization technology, mine water (geothermal) development and utilization technology, ecological restoration and reconstruction, safety and environmental protection, the development of the efficient exploitation of remaining resources and the scientific prevention and control of disasters in closed coal mines were given.
