Abstract In order to improve the production efficiency and quality of the metal structural parts of hydraulic support cover beams, the same coal group electromechanical equipment company, as an example, on the basis of analyzing the production process of shield beam, the optimized material and production control system were designed and studied. The system adopted modular design and contains functions such as optimized material cutting, production management, inventory management, procurement management and comprehensive query. The system was developed using Delphi 7 development tools and SQL Server 2012 databases, with good stability. The practical application of the system can significantly improve the production efficiency of hydraulic support manufacturers.
