Abstract Lubrication is an important property of water-soluble assembly grease used for hydraulic support. Lubrication modification of products can reduce friction coefficient and wear between friction pairs. Long carbon chain carboxylate A, dialkyl dithiophosphate B, borate C and molybdenum carbamate D were used for lubrication modification in different water-soluble assemble grease products. The PB value was compared and the optimum modification scheme was selected. The experimental results show that borate C lubricating additive can be used to modify the assembly grease of water-soluble hydraulic support with low cost and good lubricity.
