Abstract In order to reduce the dust concentration in the heading of the 9102 roadway mining in Simingshan Mine, the dust migration law during the roadway excavation was analyzed by numerical simulation and combined with the existing problems of the heading dust reduction method, the cutting operation above the waistline of the roadway was designed. After the application of high-pressure spray dust removal system on site, the total dust concentration at the driver's position of the comprehensive excavator decreased by 84.9% compared with that before the implementation of high-pressure spray dust removal system, which could ensure the normal mining of roadway.
