Abstract Using sodium metavadate as raw material, the methylene blue dye wastewater was photocatalyzed by self - assembling metavadate complexes with phenolooline and bipyridine, respectively. The results show with the increase of the catalyst dosage, the decreases of the pH value of solution, the degradation rate of wastewater is higher under the light condition. These catalyst materials have good photocatalytic degradation effect on organic dye wastewater, so they can be used as new composite photocatalytic materials.
