Abstract A novel rare earth praseodymium and PCPA complex [Pr(PCPA)3(H2O)]n was synthesized by hydrothermal method. The carboxyl group in p-chlorophenoxyacetic acid coordinates with praseodymium in two different ways, and finally forms a one-dimensional chain structure. Thermogravimetric analysis of the complex was carried out, and the results show that the complex has good stability, and the result of quantitative calculation is in consistent with the coordination of the complex.
