On the basis of collecting the geological, hydrogeology and geophysical data of Luzigou Mine, the geological survey was carried out to ascertain the scope of the goaf area and predict the water accumulation in the goaf. The zoning and control of water was carried out in No. 10 coal seam, and had verified the rationality of the division of "three zones" (mining area, slow-mining areaand the forbidden area) . According to the partition situation, the corresponding prevention and control water technical measures were put forward, providing the basis for safe and efficient mining of mine.
