Abstract The geological structure of Junan Mine was complex, and the danger of coal and gas outburst was high. In this paper, the influence of geological structure on coal and gas outburst was analyzed comprehensively from fault, fold and tectonic coal. The results showed that ,fault concentration areas, anticline turning side, the closure of coal seam surrounding rock also provided good conditions for coal and gas outburst to a certain extent, in the future, it was necessary to strengthen the anti-process work of Wuyi anticline and Shangji anticlinal pleated zone .The mining of No. 7 coal seam as a liberated layer was an effective measure to reduce the risk of No. 8 coal seam mining.
