To solve the problem of deformation and damage of peripheral rock in the roadway of No.1209 return laneway over fault broken zone in Huarun Coal Industry, the deformation and damage characteristics of the peripheral rock through on-site investigation and drilling peeping were analyzed, and a multi-level support technology scheme was put forward. Numerical simulation results showed that the maximum subsidence of the roof plate and the maximum deformation of the gang part of the roadway were reduced by 89.7% and 85.2% respectively under the optimized scheme. The field industrial test showed that the deformation of the tunnel perimeter rock and the amount of the roof plate were in the normal range, which verified the effectiveness of the optimized support scheme.
