Abstract:In recent years, although China has been continuously optimizing energy, coal combustion is still the mainstay. Coal combustion will release harmful gases such as sulfur dioxide. Sulfur dioxide will not only cause air pollution but also cause serious damage to human health. So the control of sulfur dioxide emissions is an important issue for air pollution control. The advantages and disadvantages of wet, semi-dry, and dry flue gas desulfurization technologies and their scope of application were compared. The five kinds of wet flue gas desulfurization technologies, including limestone gypsum method, sodium calcium double reduction method, ammonia method, seawater method and magnesium oxide method were summarized and compared, and the future development direction of flue gas desulfurization technology was proposed.
