At present, the flotation process automation degree in domestic coal preparation plant is low, and the standard of drug addition and the arbitrariness of personnel operation are unreasonable, which affect the flotation production efficiency and quality. To address this situation, Shuguang coal preparation plant was taken as an example, based on the analysis of flotation technology, the flotation automation control technology scheme design and key parts of the research were carried out. Practice showed that the control system worked well, and realized the whole flotation process of automatic feeding, unmanned drug addition, automatic adjustment of equipment and other functions, which improved the recovery rate and production of flotation coal.
