Based on advanced seismic wave survey theory, simulated by MATLAB programming technology, features and law of dielectric elastic wave in front of the working face, the existence of abnormal geology like small fault and collapsed column was judged. The practice showed that advanced seismic wave exploration technology exerted important significance of detecting abnormal geology like small fault and collapsed column in safe mining.
