81005 working face of Yungang Mine was taken as example, the method of theoretical analysis, numerical simulation were adopted to analyze the coal pillar under different arrangement of the stress and the plastic zone distribution, the arrangement and the width of coal pillar under coal seam mining.The results provided guidance for the safe and efficient mining of the 81005 working face of Yungang mine, and also provided a reference for the mining of coal seams under similar conditions.
