With the deepening of mining level, the defects of algorithm in “T80-273.1” designed in 1980 are gradually emerging. It is possible to use the finite element method in the design of deep level drainage pipe auxiliaries. Although CAD and CAE technology are widely used, a lot of time is needed to establish the finite element models in preprocessor. For mine engineer, establishing the 3D model in AutoCAD then imported to ANSYS is a suitable way through the analysis of advantages and disadvantages about several CAD software interfaces with CAE software ANSYS as selected, combined with the actual situation in the construction drawing design of the mine drainage pipe, 3D modeling based on AutoCAD leading to ANSYS to establish finite element model was set, which improved working efficiency.
