In the design of chemical heat pipe, in order to prevent the damage of pipeline or equipment and improve the safety of chemical production, the stress analysis of pipeline can be carried out. The types of stress, the necessity of stress analysis, the method of stress analysis, and the typical measures to eliminate stress were discussed. It is suggested that the stress analysis of the pipeline shall be based on the form of load that produces primary stress and secondary stress, and combined with the temperature, phase and diameter of the conveying medium in the pipeline.
