In order to study the law of permeability of coal containing methane under different mining stress, methods of theoretic calculation, experiment research were adopted, domestic-developed triaxial servo-controlled seepage equipment was emploied, the law of rock mass mechanics and permeability variation under the condition of different press in the experiment of ordinary loading. It was observed that variation tendency of elastic straining is corresponding with strain variation tendency in the all process of strain; available confining press decreases gradually with gas press gradually increases, it will be damaged finally, the proportion of dissipation energy increases, the proportion of elastic strain energy decreases, graph slope of relation energy with stress difference in the yield stage.
