Mine shallow working face mining threatened by ground water, the study of distribution, richness and depth of ground water exerts great importance. 1981 working face of Yangyi Mine was taken as example, the distribution, richness and depth of ground water was studied by transient electromagnetic method. The safety of water hazard, the possible water burst section settling were evaluated, water richness area of roadway mining working face roof stratum was explored, the reinforcement of area was put forward to ensure the shallow working face recover.
