TEM is one of the commonly used exploration work in prevention and control of coalbed water in mine. The traditional method in TEM data processing and interpretation, generally based on technical and practical work experience in manual interpretation, there is no standard widely used. This paper starts from the statistical method, based on normal distribution characteristics of calculation on apparent resistivity data collection, and comparing with the electrical prospecting interpretation result in practical work, when the larger and smaller values in apparent resistivity values departing from the normal distribution range, they can be used as a geologic anomaly reference, and normal distribution 3σ rule equinoctial values can also be used as a geological anomalies of standard deviation interval judgment standard, this 3σ rule can also establish standards of water yield property between geophysical and  hydrogeology.
