Based on the analysis of principle, advantage, process and applicability of the technology, Xishan Mine of Shanxi Province was taken as example, the applicability of the technology to increase yield of coal seam gas was expounded. The technology was applied in XS-112 shaft of Xishan Mine, casing pressure and production were improved after 2 months, daily output reached about 500 m3/d, far more than other coal seam shaft. The practice showed that the radial well technology improved permeability of near well zone, coal seam gas well drainage effect and yield effectively, with good prospect of coal seam development.
