Through the analysis of No. 1 shaft A8 coal seam outcrop fire area feature in some mine of China, isotopic radon measurement method was adopted to settle high temperature fire area, combined with the actual situation on the site, plugging the leaking air gallery, injecting compound colloid, explosion and slicing were adopted to control the fire area, with good effect, the surface temperature achieved the normal level, without any toxic and harmful gas. Meanwhile, the temperature of the fire area got good control, many drilling temperature was below 100℃, corresponding to the requirement of fire extinction.
