In order to improve the fermentation production level of cephalosporin C, the appropriate inoculation amount and inoculation ways were explored.Through adopting the culture transferring or culture pouring and comparing the different inoculation amounts, the change trend of centrifugal solids was analyzed,and the fermentation index was detected.The results showed that by appropriately improving the inoculation amount, the fermentation index increased by 5%~7%，by adopting double culture transferring,the quality of  fermented liquid could be ensured.
