In order to make sure safe operation of Jizhong South roadway in Shuangliu Mine coalfield, release the coal resources to the greatest extent simultaneously, vertical section method was adopted to protect roadway coal pillar in minable coal seam ( No. 2, 3, 4, 8, 9 ), overlapped coal quantity in Jinzhong south roadway was estimated, probability integral method was adopted to verify the rationality of this coal pillar width. The result showed coal seam group of protective coal pillar width was 274~774 m in coalfield, which could control the surface deformation effectively, roadway deformation control was in national protective level scope, which did not affect the safe operation of the railway, ensure resource maximum extraction.
