As the shallow coal resources increasingly depleted, deep coalfield exploration was extremely urgent, aiming at the difficulties and challenges facing deep zone exploration, old Fengfeng Mine geology was taken as example, coalfield structure characteristics, the analysis showed that exploration method and the way of exploration influencing deep exploration project, it was necessary to fully use shallow production mine and exploration project in deep exploration area, it was summarized that deep exploration should base on data and exploration engineering of previous shallow production mine, mainly with drilling project, assisted by other exploration ways.
