Taking the actual working conditions of He Xi close distance coal seam no. 3 and no. 4 coal seam as the background, we study the reasonable separation of mining roadway that under the condition of close distance coal seam mining through the numerical simulation and field measurement method .Research results show that according to the actual conditions of He Xi coal mine roadway, outside fault should decorate 9 m, ensure that mining roadway stability and security. Field measurement is also further verified under the condition of external fault of roadway layout 9 m, 2410 working face roof subsidence quantity is 156 mm, maximum two maximum nearer to 142 mm, of gateways that are well controlled. The results for other similar under the condition of close distance coal seam mining layout provides guidance.
