With more and more test standards of edible salt emerging after China joined in the WTO, some problems should be considered at this stage, for example how to detect edible salt using the international standards, how to learn international advanced detection methods. Starting from several key indicators of the test methods,the national and intenational standards were disscused, their advantages and disadvantages were compared, some reference for improving the national standard test methods of edible salt were provided.
